How to play as a pacifist in Cyberpunk 2077

Role-playing gives you the chance to play the main character of a story and experience it through unique storytelling perspectives. Cyberpunk 2077 is no different, and you can expect a mountain of character choices for your main character, V, to choose from. They might find themselves a little more aggressive at a company meeting, or they might try to find the best solution for a new job in order to receive the bigger pay. How you want to run V is up to you, the player, to decide. For those who want to take a more direct approach, can you play as a pacifist during the match and not fight anyone?

First of all, you can browse all of Cyberpunk 2077 without killing another individual. This was confirmed by Philipp Weber, Senior Quest Designer, during his Q&A with community developers. Cyberpunk 2077 gives you plenty of options to deal with multiple situations, and if players work carefully through the scenes, they can calm a situation down before any weapons are involved.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to play it entirely as a pacifist. V has to fight other people. However, you have the option of knocking them out or taking them down without killing them. Getting a killing blow against another character is your choice. For those who play a more evil version of V, you may never hesitate to pull the trigger and aim for more critical body parts.

While a full pacifist race doesn't seem to exist in Cyberpunk 2077, you can choose to be a good character and never kill anyone. When you kill a character in a mission, it can have more of an impact with other Night City factions, potentially giving you more favor with a particular gang, and less with those you've murdered.

If you want to avoid having to bypass individual gang members, you might want to use less lethal force and find a way to knock out an attacker or subdue him in some other way.
