FoxNext surprised us again! Out of nowhere, Mysterio appeared on our lists. It was on a loading screen after the last update but there is no indication that we will be able to see it in our listings just yet. The good thing is that I am observing all alignment on the daily basics because otherwise I wouldn't have noticed it at all.
As you probably know, Mysterio's real name is Quentin Beck, former partner of the legendary Tony Stark. Tony Stark thought he was too arrogant and ambitious, which resulted in him abandoning Quentin's big plan and firing him. Quentin was furious, and he came up with the idea to put together a team of former Stark employees and steal Tony's tech when the time came. After Tony Stark's death, he introduced himself as the superhero Mysterio who will save the world from the rampaging Elementals. Everyone believed him, including the young Peter Parker, who had offered him the technology of Stark, which had been entrusted to Peter. This was the moment when Quentin waited a long time. When he finally took control of the mighty EDITH (Even in Death I Am the Hero - glasses that control Stark's satellites and drones), he decided to use him to create an illusion of the four Elementals that will do havoc on Earth and which will be beaten by him who should make him a greater hero than even the Iron Man. Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, came to understand Quentin's betrayal and defeated him in the epic battle, but Quentin was already managing to sway a public opinion that was beginning to believe that Mysterio was the greatest superhero on the planet who had been unfairly bullied by the Avengers. That was the news of the legend of Mysterio in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His background in the comics is a bit different, but he remains one of Spider-Man's enemies, an ordinary man who uses holograms and illusions to trick and hurt his opponents.
In Marvel Strike Force Mysterio is Spider-Verse, Sinister Six. Technical controller who should make the Sinister Six team more versatile and dangerous. His skills are comparable to Mordo's, except that he can apply Ability Block to City Heroes and the damage dealt by his ultimate is slightly higher. The ability to apply Heal Block to all enemies could be very useful against the Defender team, as it could significantly reduce the importance of healing Iron Fist. If there is nothing, this debuff will surely disturb us in raids. Additionally, Mysterio can take out enemy buffs with his base ability which works the same as Ronan's base ability. For each debuffer, concentration is very important and Mysterio's concentration gradually increases with each ally of the Sinister Six. When he dies he summons up to 2 mirror images which can also remove the positive effects caused by enemy attacks due to his attack.
In summary, Mysterio is an average hero who won't have a lot of uses outside of Team Sinister Six, to be honest. We still don't know how we're going to raise it, but I expect it to become available through the proper orbs and lightning attacks.
