Nokia Steel HR review, the super stylish hybrid smartwatch

Nokia Steel HR is one hybrid smartwatch, that is a cross between an analogue and a smart watch. I've been testing it for about a month and my impressions are definitely positive!

Design

Nokia Steel HR is apparently a watch with an analog dial. Available in two variants, from 36 and 40mm, I have worn the little one on my wrist for almost a month. Incredibly, thanks to his lightness, he didn't bother me even though he couldn't stand up to watches or smartwatches. Cash in steel and strap in siliconeWhile it doesn't have exactly the aesthetic lines of a women's watch, it lends itself well to being worn on even the smallest wrists.

Saving Nokia Steel HR, you soon realize that, in addition to the classic hands, there is a smart touch. A little OLED display is ready to notify you of fitness-related notifications and activities at any time. On the back of the case there is the sensor for detecting heartbeat continuous, essential for tracking sports prowess and sleep quality.

Smart functions

As anticipated, we are facing a hybrid watch. In fact, the Bluetooth connectivity allows Nokia Steel HR to connect to smartphone. From here, you can manage every aspect of the device through theapplication (exceptionally developed) for Android and iOS.

The smart watch can notify you, when connected to the smartphone, calls and incoming SMS as well as i event reminders scheduled. This will affect the energy autonomy of the device, but it is very useful in case you cannot control your mobile.

The combined presence of the heart rate sensor andwaterproof up to 50 meters depth, will allow you to take the Nokia Steel HR with you even during a swim, while continuing to monitor your parameters.

Energy autonomy

Nokia Steel HR has excellent energy autonomy, but it clearly depends on the use you decide to make of it. If, as in my case, you connect it a couple of times a day to download the data collected by the step counter and heart rate monitor, you will well exceed the 20 days. Otherwise, receiving notifications could almost halve the autonomy of the device, as is normal.

Who is the Nokia Steel HR perfect for?

The little gem of Nokia is aimed at users who are looking for a "classic" watch that can offer something more. Additional functions that turn it into a smartwatch. Obviously, it is not comparable to an Apple Watch or a device with Android Wear, they are two completely different segments.

Those who choose this product do not want to give up the elegance of a beautiful watch, which hides a rather accurate activity tracker, a heart rate sensor and a companion ready to notify phone calls and SMS.

My experience

I am not a great lover of watches, in general I can hardly stand the constraints whether they are bracelets, necklaces or any other accessory. Nokia Steel HR it turned out to be very light and with materials that did not irritate me of any kind (I have very delicate skin) I was able to easily keep it on my wrist, I almost got used to looking at the time without taking out my smartphone!

The selling price is around € 189,90, considering the additional features and the care with which the watch is made, it is perfect for the user who wants to combine the purchase of a good accessory with smart features typical of a smartwatch.
