Easter eggs, references and secrets
There is a light switch in your room | Good for nothing change color
The first Easter egg, you will find it in your room at the start of the match. A Nintendo Switch console is connected to your character's TV - and the Joy-Cons always matches the colors you've attached to your personal Switch. It's a nice detail that goes into the long tradition of including a Nintendo console in your MC room.
Spin Around to perform a fancy movement
Running in circles ultimately has an advantage. Now, when you've played enough, your character will perform a twirl and pose - matching everyone's favorite Galician champion, Leon. Leon's signature lets you play at will.
Not only does this give a whimsical feel, it's also the only way to evolve the new Pokemon. Equipping Creamy with sweet and different spins will result in unique creations from Harmilly.
Named after the voice actors | Dynamax Pikachu & Eevee
In the German version of Pokémon Sword & Shield, you can meet two NPC trainers who send Dynamax Pikachu and Eevee. The coaches are named Ikue and Aoi - references to real Japanese actress Ikue Otani and Aoi Yuki who portray Pikachu and Eevee in almost all media.
Pokemon and the forged tea set
The new Galeman Pokemon Polthégeist has a sinister secret: it is probably a fake. This ghost-type Pokemon inhabits a very British tea set and almost all of the beautiful china is fake. Very rarely, it is possible to find an authentic Polthégeist, and the only way to identify it is to locate a small certificate of authenticity on the underside.

The Secret of Jersey Numbers
All Pokemon Gym animators (and your training rivals) in the Galar region have numbers on your uniforms. These numbers aren't just random - they actually spell little thumbtack names for each trainer. Take the numbers, match them with Japanese hiragana and you will spell little words.
The combat type trainer number (193) translates to “battle”! While Nessa, the water type trainer number (049) means "to swim". It's a cute little detail that most gamers will never recognize.
Birthday Secrets
At the start of the game you will need to set your date of birth. Whichever day you set, you will get some special in-game events when the date arrives. First of all, you'll encounter a surprise party every time you walk into a Pokémon Center - complete with a Pokeball cake! You will also find a birthday candle on your curry whenever you cook at Pokecamp.
