Where to plant carrot seeds?
Carrot seeds play a vital role in The King of Bountiful Harvests quest as part of Legendary Clue 1, which you can read in full in this guide. Carrot seeds are acquired in Freezington, but the question is where to plant them?
This plays out in the Calyrex quest where he tries to find his loyal old horse, which is one of two Pokémon on horseback. Once you reach this point of the quest, you have the option to go and plant the seeds in one of two locations, which will decide which steed Calyrex will have and in turn what his ultimate form will be between Shadow Rider Calyrex and Ice. Rider Calyrex.
You have a choice of two locations, which are special fields where they can only be planted. The first of these is seen in the image at the top of this article, which is about getting Spectrier. This one can be found in Giant's Bed beyond the first ruins you come across on your way to Freezington. Head down further southwest and you will eventually see other ruins, including one with a plot as seen above. Interact with the field and it will ask you if you are sure you want to plant the carrot seeds and get a Shaderoot carrot in return.
The other option we have for the carrot seeds is to get Glastier instead, which takes us to the snowy area again. Head to Snowslide Slope straight from Giant's Bed and go up the path. Eventually you should see the field on your field as seen in the image directly above. Planting the carrot seed here will give you an ice root carrot, so make the decision for sure as above and go for it.
