Samsung announces the launch of Wildlife Watch, an ambitious project that uses technology to counter poaching in the South African savannah. With quality cameras from Samsung Galaxy S20 FE you can transform yourself into virtual rangers of the Balule Nature Reserve, in South Africa.
Samsung Wildlife Watch makes you virtual rangers
The project sees Samsung's collaboration with Africa a group of wild animal enthusiasts who want to bring images and their own of the savannah all over the world. Africam's profit for purpose model aims to support "Black Mamba Anti-Poaching Unit". The goal is to prevent poaching by turning spectators into rangers with Wildlife Watch.
The initiative is also supported by the DJ, producer and fashion designer Peggy Gou, commenting: “We all love these magnificent animals, but the harsh reality is that poaching is on the rise across Africa. It's great to think that a device we use every day can be helpful in tackling such an important problem. The ability to become a virtual ranger and support the incredible real life rangers fighting against poaching is truly thrilling. ”
How the project works
Quattro smartphone Samsung Galaxy S20 FE they were installed among the African shrubs to increase the coverage of the Africam infrastructure in the Balule Nature Reserve by 50%. With large pixels, the AI and Space Zoom up to 30x of Samsung smartphones (which we told you about in the review) offer clear images to monitor the area and notice the poachers right away. Additionally, a camouflage jeep will be equipped with Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, to help reserve rangers monitor the area.
