The Omni can be fitted with the toothed wheel, in the first unused slot.
At the start of each Railjack mission, Cephalon Cy will grant each Tenno an Omni Tool, which can be equipped via the Gearwheel. The Omni will be placed in your first unused slot, and to equip it, simply select it. Once in hand you will see how much Revolite is available for repairs, 300 being the cap. If you're weak on Revolite, it can be replenished at the Forge at the back of the Railjack.
From here on, repairs are straightforward. With the Omni equipped, you'll see waypoint-like icons showing where the damage is and what type. Fires inflict lingering damage to your hull, Electrical damage will reduce your max shields, Freeze will lock doors, regular hull breaches will reduce your max hull, and catastrophic hull breaches will explode your ship back to Kingdom Come if not. not repaired in time.
These icons are also on the minimap (with or without Omni equipped), so use it to locate damage preventively. Cy will also call for repairs, so as long as you're careful you need to know when it's Omni time. The repair looks a lot like the mining mini-game, which means all you have to do is aim the tool at the danger until a wheel spawns.
For anything other than a hull breach, you hold down your fire button and fill the circle or stop the bar when it hits the white square. The hull breaches must be drawn and the circle filled. If you have even a single intrinsic point invested in engineering, you will find that your repairs are completed much faster.
When completed, the damage will be repaired and the danger mitigated, but you will have consumed Revolite. Depending on how much damage your Railjack takes from both space enemies and boarding groups, you may find yourself running dangerously low on Revolite. If so, you may need to force someone on a farming mission, otherwise you won't have what you need to fix the catastrophic hull breaches. This is what leads to the mission failure at Railjack, although successful repairs to catastrophic hull breaches will give you temporary invincibility (which lasts longer if you repair the breach) and replenish your shields and hull. .
Prioritize those who are above all else, especially if you're struggling to maintain your supply of Revolite. Regular hull breaches and fires are expected to occur after that, followed by electrical and freezing damage. As long as someone on the team is focused on repairing and maintaining the Forge, your team should be able to fight their way to victory, even in the most difficult situations.
