We're hours away from the launch of the Disney + streaming service, which will serve as the basis for both classic and new TV and films from the company. This will be the home to exclusive lineup, like the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian, as well as the live-action remake of Beauty and the Tramp and many more.
Those with mobile devices or PCs already have a good idea of how to stream the service, but what about consoles? Can we watch Disney + on Xbox One or PlayStation 4? The answer is 'yes' and here's how.
Find the app
First of all, you need to find the Disney + app. It has yet to officially go live, but Disney estimates that it will launch shortly after the service goes live, which is expected to be at 6 a.m. EST on November 12.
Once live it should be fairly easy to find the app. It's in the Apps section of PlayStation Network or Xbox Live, depending on the service you're using. Search for it when it's available, download it to the console of your choice, and then launch it.
Once launched, sign in with your existing Disney + account or create a new one. Once done, all you need to do is adjust the settings you want to change and enjoy your favorite programming. (Could we suggest Gargoyles?)
Will it come to Nintendo
A few users wondered if the app would also be available for Nintendo Switch. The answer is yes… sort of.
This is because Disney has confirmed that the app will be available for Nintendo's device. However, the launch is not planned, but it will come later. Hopefully we'll see it before Christmas which would make it a gift for system users.
At the moment, Disney + is compatible with mobile devices, personal computers and other game consoles. So you have enough places to watch it.
